Chalet Herrison along with chalets Dahu, Blanchot, Bouc Blanc and Alpaca were new to our programme 2 years ago and have seen many guests return. Within a few metres of these chalets is a nice safe area for children of all ages to play in the snow. These chalets also enjoy spectacular views, particulary looking towards the entrance of the Vanoise National Park.

Chalet Herrison has four bedrooms all with full ensuite facilities. The open plan lounge and dining area has comfortable seating around the glassfronted fireplace. There is a door from the dining area opening on to a Southwest-facing balcony. There is a CD player for guests? use. Inside the entrance there is a ski deposit with boot warmers.

150m from the ski hire and other shops. You can ski back to the chalet down a blue run. In the morning there is a walk of about 400m to the ski school and ski lifts with a choice of a high-speed 6-seater chairlift taking you up to 2100m or the new Vanoise Express across to la Plagne. With the new Parchet lift for 2010/2011 50m away from the chalet.

Plan Peisey is the arrival and departure point of the Vanoise Express cable car which links the two resorts of La Plagne and Les Arcs. The opening of this high-speed link has created one of the largest ski areas in the world, known as Paradiski. Three of the Ski Beat chalets are just 150m from this lift, the others about 400m. They all provide a great base for exploring the combined area.

Les Arcs, based on the sunny West facing slopes above Bourg St Maurice has a huge and varied ski area with an excellent snow record and has something to offer all levels of skier. In addition to the cable car link with la Plagne there have been a number of new lifts installed in the Arcs 2000 area. Les Arcs is a high altitude resort offering superb skiing from the trees of Peisey and Villaroger to the summit of the Aiguille Rouge with its? breathtaking views over the surrounding French, Italian and Swiss Alps.

Access to the ski area of Les Arcs is via a high-speed 6-seater chairlift out of Plan Peisey. At the top of this chairlift there is a blue run to Les Arcs 1800 from where the TransArc cable car provides access to the Arcs 2000 ski area. When skiing home to Plan Peisey there is a choice of easy green, blue or red pistes. Alternatively there is a black run if those legs are not too tired at the end of the day. There is a network of snow-making machines ensuring good ski access to Plan Peisey throughout the season.

The village of Plan Peisey has a number of bars and restaurants to choose from whilst Vallandry, about 10 minutes walk away, offers further choice.

We have a dedicated creche to care for children aged 4 and under on the lower floor of Chalet Marmotton (about 300 metres from Chalet Herrison). Children aged 4-7 years attending ski school in the morning, may take advantage of our lunch and afternoon care service in one of our chalets.
